DAY 10
I'm still excited. Read another chapter in "Awaken the Giant Within" and talked up Todays Selling Solution with a couple of customers. I'm still getting calls from the ads I placed. Placed a few more ads and did get one lead. I retuned an e-mail yesterday to the one house seller that contacted me. I asked her some preliminary questions about her property. I have not heard back from her. Service work is piling up in my yard so I will take a few days off from my blog. Just because I will not be writing does not mean I am not doing anything. I hope the rest of my classmates are doing something. Wish they would comment.

DAY 9
Another chapter in my book, added friends to my FACEBOOK page, sold my 6th boat.
Pretty much most of the day was spent toward my current business. Record keeping, etc. Hoping to get out some letters to potential experts to join the todaysselling solutions network SOON.

DAY 8
Read another chapter in my book. Basically about setting goals. Again very helpful. Did the exercises to establish a base line. Added friends on FACEBOOK and attended to work load in boat yard.
Received a follow up from the craig list ad I responded to on day 2. They would like to make an appointment with me. Sent e-mail requesting preliminary information on the property. Talked about Todayssellingsolutions to several people.

DAY 7
On the seventh day he rested. Wouldn't that be nice! I did do a little less today. I read another chapter in my book and did some more brain storming before going to church. At church I shared some of my resent experiences with several friends, all of whom where impressed with my enthusiasm. I commissioned one friend, who recently left his job to pursue his ambition as a graphic designer, to design a logo for my brand.
Returning from church a visited a neighbor who is suffering from cancer. It was sad to see him so ill and pray that he recovers. I'm glad that I spent time with him. I told him that he was very encouraging and helpful to me and my wife when our son was diagnosised with cancer over 3 years ago. I told him his counsel on several occassions was very helpful and if I could help him in any way to please call on me. He thanked me and I know he appreciated my visit and sincerity.
I spent several hours at my boat business and sold my 5th boat in 4 days. A new record for me. I'm running out of boat to sell, WOW not a bad position. I have some new ideas that I am hoping to put into practice next week. I just finished updating my face book page and made requests for an additional 10 friends. DAY 6
Read another chapter in "Awaken the Giant Within" all about the power of metaphors. Checked e-mail and blog site. Spent the day working in my boatyard. Sold another boat. This one was not a result of the effort earlier in the week but my willingness to sell certainly helped.

DAY 5
I woke up at 5:15 and read another chapter in "Waken the Giant Within" it was all about the power of words. Words can be used to elevate us or drag us down. The words we choose to use can make a big difference in all situations. It was a very useful chapter.
Spent a little time tweeking the new web site and added a page "Partnering Professionals".
Each morning my wife and I spend a little time talking. This morning we started talking about the many professional contacts we have. Just off the top of our heads we listed 50. I plan to compose a letter and see how many of them would be interested in working with us.
I also went to the Nextiva web site and obtained a FREE toll free phone number, 855 245-7850. The rest of the day was spent working in the Boat Yard. DAY 4 LATE
A busy day. Created a brand "Today's Selling Solution" (Growing tomorrow solutions). Visit our web site http://www.todayssellingsolutions.com/ . I believe this is a great start and everyone can be a part of it. Had a great Thanksgiving with my family I'm tired and going to retire for the evening. DAY 4 EARLY
I'm starting to understand blogging. In the past I either started writing my blog early and posted it before the day was complete or waited till the end of the day and forgot the progression of ideas. Now I will write it during the day as a draft, polish and publish at the end of the day. I am still hoping my classmates will join in and post comments at all times. If I am asked to comment on a question or give an opinion I will definitely make a reference in my blog for the benefit of all. Clearly I will act as quickly as asked and trust you will do the same for me.
Now down to business. I started the day reading another chapter in my book, "Awaken the Giant Within". It was all about asking the right question to find the right answer. As you are trying to resolve a problem ask as many questions as you can. Look at the problem from as many angles as possible. The more questions you ask the higher the probability that you will ask the right one that will solve the problem. I am already using that strategy to expand on the success I had with offering owner financing on boats in my yard.
Let me expand on what and why I did.
Early on I realized I had issues that took my attention away from where I needed to focus, remember the nagging maintenance? That was relatively easy to eliminate (hire contractors), some pain but far more pleasure expected in the future. NEW PROBLEM: I have a number of un-sellable boats in my boatyard that are taking up valuable rental space and are not enhancing the yard's appearance. (IT IS WHAT YOU PERCEIVE! I want my customer to perceive a 1st class operation). I had no capital remaining in these boats. I made a good return on my initial investment (I am an expert on boat acquisition) but what was left was a non performing asset. I asked myself a number questions (the interesting thing is I used the strategy yesterday that I read about today) and decided to advertise these boat with owner financing, remember value added.
OWNER FINANCING IS AVAILABLE WHEN BOAT IS STORED WITH US UNTIL PAID IN FULL: $100 down, $75.00/mn storage, NO interest, NO installment payments required as long as storage is kept current, final balance due 1 year from sale. Title will be transferred upon final payment and when vessel leaves our yard. * ACT TODAY
and receive an additional storage incentive (limited time offer)
I do have some experience in drafting an ad. One key factor is to have a call to ACTION! (Limited Time Offer). I remembered another comment made in the seminar "Pigs get Fat but Hogs Get Slaughtered" I set the down payment at no more than 10% of my advertised price and storage at 50% published rates. HOW'S THAT FOR AN ANSWER? I had the means to make it happen.
HOW DID I IMPIMENT MY IDEA? I update my Craig's List Posting with the language noted above and made two calls to previous leads that I thought might be dead. (If you where listening at the seminar I commented about my philosophy about getting back to a customer, I tell them,"If you don't hear back from me, you know I am dead")
RESULTS: In the same day I sold one boat, have a verbal agreement on another and two hot leads. THAT'S A WOW!
On review, I identified the problem, asked the questions, found a possible solution and ACTED IMMEDIATELY I used both sides of my brain and ultimatley received PLEASURE and some positive reinforcement.

More Day 2 and DAY 3
In addition to what I posted for Day 2, I spent a considerable amount of time looking at web sites of the individuals that lectured us and Dr.Nido R. Qubein. On Mark Torok's site, http://www.toroklaw.com/ I found the Legality Letter that was referred to and downloaded it. This is a good tool when talking with Sellers. There are also other useful tools. I sent an e-mail to Mark thanking him for his presentation and that he should be looking forward to hearing from me when I was ready to close my 1st sale. I also looked at Phill's other two web sites, www.hippiehollowhomes.com, www.AustinRENC.com and JT Foxx's site, www.jtfoxblog.com. I looked up High Point University and read Dr. Qubein's profile and also when to his separate site. There is lots of information there and probably will go back when I have some time. Most importantly I looked through the local Craig's List Real Estate Listing and found one that looked promising. I sent an inquiry. Here is the text I composed:

I woke up earlier than usual, around 5am, and spent several hours researching on the internet. I found several sites that were interesting but spent too much time for too little benefit. I read another chapter in Anthony Robbins book, "Awaken the Giant Within", a book I started reading just before the seminar. The book runs parallel to what we learned in the seminar and is helpful.
As a result of my decision on day 2, to eliminate those things that will take away from my concentration, I changed some of my boat listings and had some immediate results I sold one boat and have two serious leads. I also came up with an idea that uses AMPS with some adjustments to help me sell more boats.
I am still excited and I'm looking forward to another day and new ideas.

DAY 2
New ideas continue to fill my head. But first let me say that my direction is forming more clearly. The road map is opening up. What I want and how I am going to get there is getting clearer.
#1 I need to clean up all those issues that will prevent me from concentrating on my new direction.
In my case it's hiring outside help for all those nagging maintenance items that I planned on doing myself. In the past I received great pleasure in completing the job myself and the compliments I received. I now realize that carrot of future pleasure has keep me from hiring out. I also convinced myself I could not afford to hire out and that loss would cause me pain. The two have been holding me back. NO LONGER
I am disappointed that none of my classmates have logged in and started a dialogue. I did receive an e-mail from LaShawn Garner who told me she was not familiar with a blog but as soon as she figured it out she would become involved. GREAT. So what's the excuse of the other 7? How committed are they?
By the way one of the other things I did yesterday was to change my Linkin profile. I posted my attendence at the Seminar and I was ready to help others. I did get an e-mail from my Swedish Cousin who introduced me to Linkin. It was in Swedish, which I do not speak, I told him I would run it through translater and respond ASAP.
Today I will make posting on Craig's List. I am going to follow up on two contractors I spoke to before the seminar and I am going to call a roofer. What are you going to do?
